Parent/Teacher Conferences

Many of you are about to have your first parent/teacher conference and these are important meetings. This is our opportunity to share information with each other about your children, get your perspective, and provide you with a clear picture of how your child lives and learns at LANK.

At the very heart of LANK's philosophy is social and emotional development. You will hear how your child interacts with peers and adults, how he plays with others, and his comfort level at school. As appropriate for your child's age, you will discuss her skill level, her gross and fine motor development, her ability to attend to task, her attention span, and success in the following simple directions. You will hear about your child's unique learning style, his temperament, how he reacts in groups, and his flexibility in new situations. There is so much to discuss!

Ample time is devoted to your questions and observations. We share a deep commitment that your child has the very best in early education and the partnership between home and school provides a strong platform to assure that goal.
