Pre-Kindergarten Programs: Age 4 by Sept. 30th
LANK understands that the year before kindergarten is pivotal; it is one in which growth occurs in leaps and bounds. We nurture a love for learning, support exploration and discovery, and continue to offer playful curriculum that includes many of the readiness activities that prepare children for entering Kindergarten the following year.
We offer a strong curriculum with extensive opportunities for emerging readers/writers to focus on oral language, patterning, rhyming, alphabetic principle, and writing initiatives. Our pre-kindergarten program encourages children to journal, share experiences with classmates and adults, and practice independence.
Math and science are an important part of our Pre-K curriculum. Our approach to these disciplines emphasizes exploration and allows many opportunities for "hands-on" experiences. Children will manipulate objects, observe changes in nature, and have opportunities to experiment and make predictions.
