Our Administration

An excellent administration is the foundation for an outstanding school. Our dedicated administrators work together to ensure the fulfillment of the school’s mission and philosophy. The administration is comprised of experienced staff committed to delivering the best in early childhood education.

Kate Bauer
Executive Director

Originally from Maine, Kate has been fortunate to serve as both a teacher and school leader in a variety of settings along the east coast. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Boston University’s Wheelock School of Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from George Mason University. With over two decades of experience in private and public school settings, she couldn’t be happier to be the Executive Director at LANK! Play is such a powerful tool in young learning. She has seen firsthand the impact that play-based learning has on young children as they develop and grow as learners.

When not at school, she enjoys spending time with her husband and German Shepherd. She loves cooking, gardening and exploring the outdoors.

Sara graduated from James Madison University with a major in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies with a minor in Early Childhood Education. She has held various roles in Early Childhood Education from toddler teacher to Executive Director of a Reggio-inspired preschool. If you can’t find her at the front desk, she’s usually getting involved with a hands-on activity in the classroom! Sara is thrilled to be a part of the LANK community. When not at school, Sara loves to spend time with family, travel, bake, and take pictures!
